Our Story

Because no child here should go to bed hungry

For three years, Grow Pescadero has been feeding our neighbors — over 40 tons of fresh fruit and vegetables delivered to children, single moms, and seniors across Pescadero. Weekly fruit for local schools. Hot meals and fresh produce, three to four times a week, in the neighborhoods that need it most.

Three years ago, we learned something that changed everything: one in four families in Pescadero struggles to put food on the table. Children in our own community were going to bed hungry. So we decided to do something about it — together.

What We Do

Fresh food, every week

We grow it, cook it, and deliver it — focusing on families with children, single moms, and seniors who don’t have enough nutritious food.

School fruit every Monday

We bring fresh fruit to local schools at the beginning of every week so kids start nourished and ready to learn.

Meals & produce 3–4× a week

We cook nutritious meals and distribute fruit and vegetables in the poorest neighborhoods of Pescadero.

Two farms, one mission

Across 4½ acres, we grow high-quality produce for donation — and for The Farm Stand, where every purchase feeds the mission.

Teaching the next generation

We’re planting seeds for the future — teaching children the benefits of fresh fruits and vegetables, so healthy habits grow with them.

Centro Comunitario Grow

A home for hope in Pescadero

Sowing hope. Cultivating community.

Food is only the beginning. With your support, we are taking the first steps to build Centro Comunitario Grow — a place where neighbors support neighbors, and no family has to face need alone.

A community food bank

Rescue good food that would otherwise go to waste, and bring nutritious meals to families facing food insecurity — with respect, warmth, and dignity.

Community gardens

Living gardens that feed, teach, and inspire — where children learn where food comes from, and families and volunteers grow side by side.

An outdoor community kitchen

A place where women from our community, volunteers, and local chefs prepare healthy meals from fresh harvests and rescued food — for children, elders, and families.

Education that lasts

Programs in nutrition, regenerative agriculture, and sustainable living — so people don’t only receive help, they find ways to learn, participate, and contribute.

We don’t just feed people.
We cultivate hope, community, and a future.

No solo alimentamos personas.
Cultivamos esperanza, comunidad y futuro.

The Farm Stand

Food for Good

At The Farm Stand by Grow Pescadero, we produce high-quality, healthy food for sale to the community — with every purchase benefiting the children and families of Pescadero in need.

Our kitchen turns out nourishing soups and fresh salads, our popular chicken and mushroom pot pies, and healthy fermented items like kimchi and cultured vegetables, alongside beautiful produce from our farms.

It’s Food for Good: good food, for a good cause — where eating well means helping your neighbors do the same.

Together

We don’t do this alone

We work hand in hand with trusted local organizations, and we’re proudly affiliated with the International Community Foundation and Cero Basura BCS — so every donation goes further, and nothing goes to waste.
